Freezing at Place de la Concorde and Tuileries

Place de la Concorde, Paris, 30 November 2010

Paris

Place de la Concorde on a chilly (about 26 degrees F) last day of November.

Clive bought a beanie at the nearby Christmas markets to warm his poor little ears.

Remnants of snow iced the grass at the Tuileries.

Parisians and visitors alike were out and about, even some joggers in shorts. Our winter gear isn’t yet what it needs to be, but it’s still a great time of year to be in Paris.

  1. Freezing, indeed!!
I had shoveled, brushed, broken ice and salted sidewalks in front of our home this week.

Mother nature is reminding us what cold weather can be like, once again.

  2. Wow, Barb – you must be in great shape! Couldn’t believe how cold it was in Paris – but still gorgeous, too.

Stay warm and hang in there – hope you don’t have too much more to shovel, brush, and salt as the winter goes on.

    Cheers for now.
