Yachts Moving Up Sydney Harbour

Sydney, Boxing Day

Eight hours after the start of this year’s Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, the leaders are setting a record pace as they move down the southern coastline of New South Wales.

Sydneysiders always welcome the opportunity to spend a day out on the Harbour foreshores.  On Boxing Day, the atmosphere is elevated to one of near-perfect good will and relaxed appreciation of this great natural resource.

Tonight’s news reports showed thousands of Aussies enjoying sunshine, cold drinks, and sausages sizzling on the barbie as they watched the boats go by.
