Sun and Surf at Curl Curl, Sydney

Curl Curl Beach, Sydney

Curl Curl Beach, Sydney

Sydney, Saturday

After two days of rain, unseasonably cool temperatures, and monsoon-like winds, the sun is back out in Sydney.

The wind continues to affect the sea, and some of the northern beaches, where we live, were closed to swimming today.  No worries.  Curl Curl Beach, “Curly” to the locals, still had its share of Sydneysiders enjoying the rock pools and children playing at the water’s edge.

No matter how busy or stressful life can get, Aussies always seem able to relax, enjoy, and savour the moment.  They appreciate living in this beautiful city, and so do I.

This may be the second-to-last weekend before Christmas, with much shopping still to do, but on a sparkling Sydney day, there’s no better place to be than at the beach.

  1. Wow!! It’s soo beautiful… Now, I remember WHY I wanted to live in Australia… It was my DREAM as a teenager… I’m SUCH a beach person/island person… I need hot weather, sun and surf…. Hope to visit again one day as it’s SUCH a gorgeous country!!!!

I have a friend (French) who moved back to Sydney… She lived there for many years and then moved back to Paris for a year.. and just got back there last month… I should give you her email address… Let me know if it’s okay…
She’s super nice and a really fun person….

  2. Thanks Leesa! Sydney’s definitely a great place for someone who loves the beach 🙂
